COURSE DESCRIPTION:
PHE 100G. Intermediate Yoga. Credit Hours: (1) Hatha Yoga to increase strength, flexibility, focusing ability, balance and relaxation.
Two lab.
COURSE CONTENT:
- Asanas (postures); emphasis on holding postures with intention
- Pranayama; building on basic breathing techniques
- Relaxation techniques
- Safety and precautions of yoga practice
- Injury prevention as yoga relates to other activities
- Meditation practice
- Exercise adherence
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
Upon successful completion of this course, the learner will be able to:
1. Practice intentional asanas and pranayama to improve/maintain: (1,2,3,6)

2. Use basic foundations of meditation (6)
